Zhong Kui Waterfall Gazing

This work combines Xia Jing Shan’s extraordinary traditional painting techniques and integrates Zhong Kui into the scenery. He is calm and relaxed, enjoying the natural scenery, displaying his humanistic side ordinary and leisurely. The thatched hut has books, scriptures and a sword, which fits the depiction of Zhong Kui as both a scholar and a warrior. The resting Zhong Kui is gazing at the vertical waterfall, at leisure and carefree. Under the arrangement of the landscape backdrop, the spaces and layers are moved and shifted, creating an ethereal.
