In this work, Zhong Kui is in white, standing tall and mighty, magnanimous in stature, while the monstrous and devilish attendants on the side carries ganoderma and ruyi, looking at Zhong Kui and laughing, symbolizing luck and good fortune. Zhelumiao, a Chinese line painting technique was used to apply consistent pauses and turns to express the details of the clothing, while the background is washed with ocher to offset the host-guest relationship between the characters. The cyan and vermillion colored spot decorate the scene, providing more appeal to the dynamics and co-ordination of the image.
