Arhat (Piṇḍola)

Legend has it that Piṇḍola ārya tamed a vicious tiger, so he is also known as the tiger-taming Arhat. Xia Jing Shan precisely depicts the ārya’s white eyebrows and beard which is an appearance representing long life. He holds prayers beads in his right hand, walking stick in the left hand, the small ax texture method was used to treat the texture of the stones. The tiger at the back has a warm look from its eyes, showing that it has been tamed.
