This paper examines and analyzes Arhats painted in two set of works of Xia Jing Shan, “Chinese Buddhist Painting Collection of Xia Jing Shan” and “the Appreciation of Buddhist Paining.” According to the works of Xia Jing Shan, meaning, theme contents, color and painting techniques, landscaping,structure, and features in paintings are discussed with the aim to have further understanding about Arhats painted by Xia for the reference of future creation and teaching.
